In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most Merciful,
Today, we are going to explain some of the MISINTERPRETED verses of the glorious Quran which some non-muslims accuse of promoting hatred and violence!!! As we said in part 1, amongst those non-muslims there are the mercenaries who want to deceive people and mislead them for their own benefits from those people, whatever that shall be like donations, election votes, etc... But to be honest, there are MANY non-muslims who have no idea about Islam and they just follow what they were told about it!!! Maybe it is our mistake as mulims that we never tried to explain Islam correctly instead of taking a defensive position and avoiding the interaction with those liars promoting the lies about our beautiful religion... Hopefully this article will be a start for a series of similar efforts to try to show the people that JIHAD is a GREAT THING and not what most people think out of ignorance and the misuse of the word :)!!!
Now, we are going to explain what are the main reasons that those verses of the Quran are misinterpreted and we will give some examples to show the different ways those liars used to manipulate the meanings of the verses to serve their own desires and at the same time show the truth seekers the way to find out the truth themselves next time :)!!! The lies would never stop, because the liars would never stop deceiving the people away from the truth, so read this article very carefully to understand the truth of JIHAD(the BEAUTIFUL word)!!!
The glorious Quran, THE LIGHT FOR HUMANITY
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL, if someone quoted to you this verse, you would go like: "WOW!!! Allah SWT is threatening the worshippers so we must not worship, :P"!!! Now if I bring over the full chapter, I want you to compare what came to your mind when you read that verse alone and what you will understand NOW... Al-Maun, Chapter #107:1 Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)?2 Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),3 And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.4 So woe to the worshippers5 Who are neglectful of their prayers,6 Those who (want but) to be seen (of men),7 But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs.
LOL!!! NOW YOU KNOW :)!!! Allah SWT was not threatening those who worship him, lol!!! He was threatening those worshippers who worship God ONLY in front of people to be praised as pious and good people BUT they do all that for the sake of praise... That is clearly explained in the next verses, verses 5, 6 and 7 :D!!! So taking text out of context is one of the VERY FAMOUS TRICKS they do :)!!!
2- NOT stating the TIME OF REVEALING THOSE VERSES :)!!!As it is well known, the Quran was not sent as one block!!! It was revealed to the beloved prophet Muhammed pbuh over a period of 23 years!!! Many of the verses of the Quran were general BUT some of the verses of the Quran were LIMITED to specific situations at that time, and by time, those verses were to be used only to narrate the historical events which happened and to learn a lesson from that situation :)!!!I wanted to bring an example from the everyday life to make it easier to understand and this was the best I could think of, LOL!!! If a young lady wanted to put pressure on her father to buy her a car or something... So she stands at the edge of the balcony and threats to throw herself if he does not buy her that car(lol, crazy girl)!!! But the father knows his daughter very well and she does not have the courage to do it, and to show her that her trick is not working, he tells her: "Come on, throw yourself..."!!! If I wanted to distort the picture for a person who was not there and had no knowledge of the situation and no idea what the father had in mind when he told her those words, it is so easy!!! I can easily tell him: "Listen to this, I recorded that man telling his daughter to throw herself off the balcony!!! That man is crazy!!! He is encouraging his daughter to commit suicide!!! What a poor girl, her father is so cruel pushing her to die"!!! LOOOOOOOOOL, I know what you are thinking of me now :)!!! Yes, right, I AM A BIG FAT LIAR :)!!! I did not tell him the situation and when did the father say those words, under what circumstances and why did he say them!!! I was able to switch the whole view the other way round, from the father being a victim to that crazy girl trying to put pressure on him to a murderer who pushes his daughter to kill herself!!! But you know, there was one thing I did not lie about, LOL!!! THE WORDS OF THE FATHER!!! When those people quote from the Quran, they quote CORRECTLY, BUT THEY HIDE THE TIME OF REVELATION AND WHY WAS THIS VERSE REVEALED!!! So if a person reads it without knowing the circumstances he is completely mislead!!!
So, to finish off this part of the article, I am going to tell you a verse which could be susceptible for BOTH types of lies at the same time :)!!! Allah SWT says in An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #43:
O you who believe! do not go near prayer...
LOOOOOOL!!! Again, if I did not continue the verse, you will be shocked :P!!! WHAT!!! Allah SWT is ordering the believing people NOT TO GO NEAR PRAYER??? You would tell them NO WAY GOD SAID THAT!!! So they bring you a Quran and this part of the verse is there!!! But they do not use this verse usually because they would be revealed so quickly because it is well known that we muslims pray FIVE TIMES A DAY, lol!!! So it will be absurd if that verse really meant that :)!!! So he will continue reading:
O you who believe! do not go near prayer when you are Intoxicated until you know (well) what you say, nor when you are under an obligation to perform a bath-- unless (you are) travelling on the road-- until you have washed yourselves; and if you are sick, or on a journey, or one of you come from the privy or you have touched the women, and you cannot find water, betake yourselves to pure earth, then wipe your faces and your hands; surely Allah is Pardoning, Forgiving.
NOW WHAT!!! Allah SWT says to the believing people NOT TO COME NEAR PRAYERS WHILE THEY ARE INTOXICATED!!! That means that it is allowed for the believing people to drink alcoholics, right??? LOL!!! Now they start playing with the verses because they did not tell you that alcoholics were prohibited AFTER the obligations of prayers, in Al-Maeda, Chapter #5, Verse #90:"O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper. "
So if a person does not have knowledge to know that this verse was revealed AFTER the prayers were obligated and BEFORE alcoholics and other intoxicants were prohibited by this verse, it is VERY EASY that he/she might be deceived by that liar!!! God in the first verse wanted the believers who used to drink intoxicants before Islam to start their steps in stopping this evil deed by prohibiting alcohol ONLY when they approach prayers... So they would not drink it to be able to pray, later on, when God prohibited alcoholics completely by the verse we stated above, it was EASIER for them to stop because they have already started getting rid of that evil deed by the first partial prohibition!!!
There are other ways by which the liars deceive people by, but those are the most common ways with respect to the Jihad verses... NOW, let us give an example for each, and how to reply to those LIARS :)!!! I am going to give you some of the question I personally received from non-muslims talking about Jihad, and what is the reply!!!(THIS NOT WILL BE SO LONG, SO GO GRAB A CUP OF COFFEE, lol!!! For muslims, we are Ramadan guys, don't listen to me, lol!!!)
RULE: The rule of Jihad should have been noticed from the first article which is"TO FIGHT AND STRIVE IN THE WAY OF ALLAH SWT THOSE WHO ATTACK US TO ACHIEVE PEACE TO BE ABLE TO WORSHIP ALLAH SWT IN A PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT"!!!Apply this rule for every LIE they bring over and it will work :)!!! Read the context verses and if you still do not understand the meaning ask for the time of revelation... EASY :D!!! Now, some of the commonly asked verses... You will see how those liars could be EASILY replied on, it is only a matter of their deceiving question :)!!!
A- Your God orders Muhammed (pbuh) to encourage people to fight...An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #84:"Then fight in Allah.s cause - Thou art held responsible only for thyself - and rouse the believers."
**This is one of the verse editing examples :)!!! All I will do is put the full verse which THEY THEMSELVES QUOTED :)!!! Allah SWT says in An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #84:"Then fight in Allah.s cause - Thou art held responsible only for thyself - and rouse the believers. It may be that Allah will restrain the fury of the Unbelievers; for Allah is the strongest in might and in punishment. "So the verse clearly says the aim of fighting being to break the fury and hostility of the non-muslims towards the muslims :)!!! No where does it say that we should go kill people who live peacefully with us, THAT IS STUPID!!!
B- You muslims are ordered by the Quran to horrify and murder the non-muslims and therefore you are TERRORISTSAl-Anfal, Chapter #8, Verse #57:"If ye gain the mastery over them in war, disperse, with them, those who follow them, that they may remember. "
** This is an example of a verse taken out of the context of the other verses... I will not talk too much, I will let the verses speak about themselves, THEY ARE CRYSTAL CLEAR :D!!! Al-Anfal, Chapter #8, Verse #56-62:56 They are those with whom thou didst make a covenant, but they break their covenant every time, and they have not the fear (of Allah..57 If ye gain the mastery over them in war, disperse, with them, those who follow them, that they may remember.58 If thou fearest treachery from any group, throw back (their covenant) to them, (so as to be) on equal terms: for Allah loveth not the treacherous.59 Let not the unbelievers think that they can get the better (of the godly): they will never frustrate (them).60 Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of Allah, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.61 But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in Allah. for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things).62 Should they intend to deceive thee,- verily Allah sufficeth thee: He it is That hath strengthened thee with His aid and with (the company of) the Believers;
I think that the verses are clear but I am going to comment on a few really impressive points :)!!! Allah SWT in the verse number 56 tells the prophet that those disbelievers which he had peace treaties with broke those treaties MANY TIMES and NOT JUST ONCE when he said: "they break their covenant every time" and the word every time indicates repeated breaking of the treaties!!! But Subhanaallah(All praise to Allah), see how Islam wants peace even with those traitors, that after we fight them and kill amongst them for their treason and then after that they WANT PEACE, WE WILL BE MORE WILLING TO BE ENGAGED IN PEACE AGAIN!!! This is Islam!!!(please revise verse number 61)...BUT TO MAKE SURE THAT NO ONE MISUNDERSTANDS THIS POINT, I must make it clear that this is ONLY in the case of hostile provinces around the Islamic land or distant provinces and NOT WHEN THE ENEMIES ATTACK AND OCCUPY LANDS OF MUSLIMS!!! In this case we must fight them continuously till they get out!!! That is the difference of fighting America and Israel... When we fight America, our aim is to kill their soldiers who occupied our lands for the aim of robbing and murdering our brothers and sisters... BUT we should not kill their civilians inside America because their civilians might be against the war and they have no guilt in what their evil government is committing... ON THE OTHER HAND, Israel should be fought by every way!!! THERE IS NOTHING AS AN ISRAELI CIVILIAN!!! Forget about the stupid claims of some Israelis wanting peace!!! This is a lie... If that were true, they would have noticed that they are already living in the houses of people who were drove out of their houses!!! They are thieves!!! Of course there are some poor Palestinians inside Israel who are humiliated every day by those criminals and those should not be targeted because they are the OWNERS of this land... BUT YET, we muslims are warriors of honor, and we try NOT to aim at women or children(UNLIKE THOSE BASTARDS) BUT if upon our struggle to free our land, some women or children were injured or killed, it is THEIR OWN FAULT because they shared in the BURGLARY OF OUR LANDS!!! If a woman or a child want to be safe, then LEAVE OUR LAND, OR DO NOT COMPLAIN UPON THE CONSEQUENCES!!! Those people who CLAIM that they are muslims and NEGOTIATE upon our lands are nothing but a group of HYPOCRITES and DO NOT REPRESENT ISLAM AT ALL!!! In Islam, we live peacefully with all the minorities and share everything and have equal rights, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO STEALING OUR LANDS AND HOMES, DO NOT BLAME ANYONE BUT YOURSELF!!!
C- The Quran says to kill the disbelievers where ever you find them inAn-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #89:"seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks;- "
** This is another example of verse editing + quoting out of context!!! The verses are very clear, so if you would please read the following verses from this site :)!!!An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #88-91:http://www.searchtruth.com/chapter_display.php?chapter=4&translator=2#88To explain, those verses are talking about the hypocrites who used to work as spies and traitors for the enemies amongst the muslims... But yet Allah SWT orders us to fight them, but if they join a province which we have a peace treaty with, we should not attack them there as we are now not bothered by their treason, BUT IF THEY CAUSE A THREAT TO THE PEACE, WE SHOULD KILL THEM WHERE EVER WE FIND THEM!!! The verses are VERY CLEAR, but as usual the STUPID LIARS would rather edit the verses to deceive people to keep their interests in the people's money and support than telling them the truth about the beautiful Islam :)!!!
D- Your God orders his prophet to kill the captives of war...Al-Anfal, Chapter #8, Verse #67:"It is not fitting for an apostle that he should have prisoners of war until he hath thoroughly subdued the land. Ye look for the temporal goods of this world; but Allah looketh to the Hereafter: And Allah is Exalted in might, Wise."
** This is an example of not understanding the situation and the time of the revelation of this verse and the next verses!!! I will try to explain the story in short to be able to recognise and understand the meaning of the verse :)!!! Upon the migration of the prophet Muhammed pbuh and his beloved companions from Mecca to Medina to get the peace they desired after the extreme torture they underwent by the disbelievers there, the prophet and the companions wanted to return some of their property which the pagans stole after their migration... The muslims would migrate from Mecca to Medina and leave their houses and money there... They were willing to do this only to escape the torture and to be able to worship Allah SWT peacefully... Not to mention that even a house of the prophet Muhammed pbuh was stolen!!! They had nothing left!!! So they agreed upon attacking a caravan of the people of Mecca which was coming from Syria to get some of their stolen money back!!! But the caravan was able to escape by changing the path and the pagans of Mecca wanted to threaten the muslims from doing such a thing again and prepared an army to attack the muslims and destroy them... Their army was 1,000 fighters and the muslims was about 314... The muslims had NO INTENTIONS TO FIGHT!!! All they wanted is to get SOME of their stolen money back... So upon the attack of the Pagans, the famous FIRST battle between the muslims and the disbelievers occurred in the 2nd year of Hijra(migration of the prophet) and the muslims were granted a victory by Allah SWT by killing 70 and capturing 70!!! Now came the issue of those captives, what to do with them!!! There were 2 possibilities:#1) Release the captives upon a ransom which they pay but there is a possibility that those captives which will be released are going to try and attack the muslims again soon...#2) Kill them to make the pagans fear attacking the muslims again for a long time to achieve peace...Of course, the prophet started to take the views from his companions and some of the great companions like Abu Bakr(may Allah SWT be pleased with him) wanted to accept the ransom and release them as they are their people EVEN AFTER ALL THEY DID TO THEM WHEN THEY WERE IN MECCA!!! Yet, some of the other companions like Umar Ibn Khattab and Abdullah Ibn Rawaha chose to kill them to put fear into the hearts of the pagans make them think a thousand times before attacking the peaceful muslims again... The stupid liars might not know that the prophet Muhammed pbuh, that mercy to mankind, chose the choice of ransom and releasing them!!! NOT FOR THE MONEY, but he had hope that those people might see the truth and become muslims one day!!! So even those who did not have money to pay their ransom, the prophet Muhammed pbuh, that great illiterate man would accept a ransom from them which is to TEACH 10 COMPANIONS HOW TO READ AND WRITE!!! Really, no one is like our beloved prophet... All the mercy he has in his heart!!! But showing mercy and compassion is not always right... Because this might give a FALSE impression to the disbelievers that we are weak and they will come back and attack again soon!!! and Allah SWT being the All-Knowing knew that this is going to happen upon this decision of the prophet which was out of his pure and merciful heart!!! So Allah SWT blamed him for this wrong decision in the verses out of which the verse which the liars quoted and told him that the SECOND decision was the right one because the release of those captives AT THIS PARTICULAR TIME(we muslims are allowed to take captives and we NEVER KILL THEM when we are strong enough to fight the pagans if they come back) IS A WRONG DECISION BECAUSE THE MUSLIMS ARE STILL VERY WEAK AS COMPARED TO THE STRONG PAGANS IN MECCA WHO HAVE MANY ALLIES WHO WOULD BE WILLING TO SHARE IN THE FIGHT AGAINST ISLAM!!! And that is what happened in LESS THAN A YEAR, when the disbelievers were able to gather 3,000 fighters and attacked the muslims in the Battle of Uhud on the 3rd year of Hijra and after less than 2 more years in the siege of AlKhandak on the 5th year of Hijra when the pagans came back with 10,000 fighters and performed a siege upon Medina for more than a month and the power of Allah SWT through the weather was the reason why they returned back to Mecca!!! BUT YET when muslims had a chance of make a peace treaty with those SAME disbelievers who tortured them during their presence in Mecca and attacked them even after their migration to Medina, the muslims accepted that treaty!!! SEE HOW MUSLIMS LOVE PEACE!!! That was on the 6th year of Hijra(ONE YEAR after that evil siege) and it was agreed for 10 years of peace!!! But EVIL IS EVIL, it is always hostile towards the peaceful muslims... The pagans broke the treaty when they supported the attack of the allies of the prophet Muhammed pbuh which was a tribe called Khuza'a... So the prophet Muhammed pbuh decided to invade Mecca because those people were a danger on the peaceful muslims, so on the 8th year of Hijra, the prophet Muhammed pbuh invaded Mecca with an army of 10,000 fighters(LOL, for all those stupid people who accuse Islam of spreading by the sword, the muslims in the Khandak siege on the 5th year of Hijra were 3,000 ONLY, and only in a matter of 2 years of peace and upon inviting people to Islam in an environment of peace, that number jumped to 10,000)!!! So peace is in favor of Islam because when people study Islam in peace they embrace it immediately because it is the truth!!! BUT AFTER ALL THOSE PAGANS DID AND ALL THE WARS THEY RAGED AGAINST THE MUSLIMS, AND ALL THE TREATIES THEY BROKE, WHEN THE PROPHET pbuh INVADED MECCA HE ORDERED HIS ARMY NOT TO KILL "ANYONE" UNLESS THEY CARRY A WEAPON AGAINST THEM!!! AND MECCA WAS INVADED WITHOUT A SINGLE DROP OF BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing, how Islam loves peace and hates killing!!! Even after their treason, we muslims are forgiving!!! And the FAMOUS words of the prophet Muhammed pbuh come(of course the liars would NEVER tell you about them, lol) when he gathered the people of Mecca who tortured him and drove him and the believers out of their homes, he said: "What do you think I am going to do with you???"... The horrified people thought that the prophet Muhammed pbuh is now the stronger and will be willing to take revenge for what they did to him and the believers, so they started saying: "You would treat us as a kind brother and a generous nephew"!!! LOL, they were so scared that he would kill them for what they did so they said those words out of fear!!! But yet the GREAT and MERCIFUL man, our beloved prophet Muhammed pbuh said: "Today is a day of rebuttal... GO ALL OF YOU FREE, AS YOU TODAY ARE THE FORGIVEN"!!! The people of Mecca were SHOCKED!!! They expected NOTHING but being slayed for what they committed towards the believers, but the mercy of our beloved prophet made them ALL, AT THAT MOMENT declare that THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH and MUHAMMED IS THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH and they all embraced Islam :)!!! If the prophet had to kill all the captives as those liars claim he should have killed all the captives he took in Mecca which did not happen :D!!! SO AS USUAL, THEY ARE BIG FAT LIARS :D!!!LOOOOOOOOOL, I know that you might have forgotten what all this was about, :)!!! So I am going to put the verses which are going to be EXTREMELY CLEAR after knowing and understanding the timing and circumstances of the verses!!! So let us read them together :):Al-Anfal, Chapter #8, Verse #67-71:67 It is not fitting for an apostle that he should have prisoners of war until he hath thoroughly subdued the land. Ye look for the temporal goods of this world; but Allah looketh to the Hereafter: And Allah is Exalted in might, Wise.68 Had it not been for a previous ordainment from Allah, a severe penalty would have reached you for the (ransom) that ye took.69 But (now) enjoy what ye took in war, lawful and good: but fear Allah. for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.70 O Messenger. say to those who are captives in your hands: "If Allah findeth any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you, and He will forgive you: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful."71 But if they have treacherous designs against thee, (O Messenger.), they have already been in treason against Allah, and so hath He given (thee) power over them. And Allah so He Who hath (full) knowledge and wisdom.
PLEASE READ VERSES 70 and 71 AGAIN :)!!! Isn't the Quran AMAZING :)!!!
FINALLY, lies will NEVER stop against the Quran and Islam :)!!! The liars would keep deceiving people to deviate them from the truth, to get some benefits from the mislead people BUT ALLAH SWT PROMISES that Islam and the truth will prevail... Allah SWT says in As-Saff, Chapter #61, Verse #8-9:8 Their intention is to extinguish Allah.s Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).9 It is He Who has sent His Messenger with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, that he may proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it).
I know this was an extremely long note, but hopefully everyone is going to benefit from it to see the truth and Allah SWT knows the best :)!!!
